I am not one of the concerned parties but your assumption is that the MP’s wife sits at home. She could well be in another country and another timezone on work, in which case it is entirely proper to ask whether it was a good time to call. I suppose you assume basic manners should be ditched in spousal interactions.. No wonder divorce is on a 7-year high in this country..
