MP redefines irony

John Hemming, new LibDem MP for Birmingham Yardley has a strong sense of irony. He is known as “The Birmingham Bike” less for the picture below and more for his wife’s dissemination of the fact that he had “about 26″ mistresses in the course of their marriage and his insemination of his 20-something and now pregnant mistress number 26.

Therefore, it is a surprise to see the following question tabled in John Hemming’s name.

John Hemming (Birmingham, Yardley): To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many mothers in each age cohort from 12 to 19 have given birth in each year since 2000-01.

Surely there are better ways of finding out if the CSA is after you?

    I believe that’s Martin Horwood - MP for Cheltenham.

    I’ll send you a pic of Hemming on a bike if you like.

    I should mention he is a multi millionaire who likes to sue - so don’t get his piccies mixed up with someone elses!

  4. There are plenty of pictures of me on my blog if you wish to find them (see entry). I am happy to allow a copyright free use of all pictures on my flickr account.

    On balance you could argue the case that Martin Horwood would be in a better position to sue.

    However his magnanimous approach to this story/photo has slightly altered my view.
