There will be a hiatus in the AnnesleyWatch dossier compilation for a short while - not least because it’s a little boring to casual visitors to Recess Monkey. Nevertheless, I didn’t want to go off to catch the Tuscany sun without one last update on the activities of Britain’s foremost young Conservative.

In the picture above, Bernard Ingham is giving a glwing account of how Annesley taught him how to be a spin doctor in the late 1970s.
I have also been asked to post this picture of Annesley with his adopted parents, who have never wavered in their support for his ambition to lead Britain’s natural party of opposition.

Times Conservative party Conference Journal, 5th October 2004
“THE opening day’s best received speech came from Annesley Abercorn, chairman of West London Conservative Future. Its highlight came when he burst into an adaptation of Old MacDonald Had a Farm: “With a tax, tax here, a tax, tax there . . .” The chairman, Stephen Castle, noted: “He is not yet a (candidate) but I am sure a number of association chairmen here will want to talk to him.” ”
i’ve never seen the word “talk” used as a euphamism for “stab” before.
