I’m not sure you quite grasp the gravity of this situation

A woman of enormous power and influence

Our local, the Red Lion in Whitehall, has applied for a late license - and - permission to hold karaoke events. Only with your help in lobbying Westminster City Council, can I be sure that I can have a late-night drinking and karaoke session in the Red Lion for my 30th birthday in January.

It’s down to you. And to be frank, it is recess so it’s not like you’re too busy to send a note to the local council. You probably haven’t seen your boss for a month - with all that constituency stuff they do throughout the summer - ahem.

Dame Councillor Audrey Lewis, is Westminster City Council’s Cabinet Member for Licensing. Please contact her here expressing your support for karaoke and late drinking. Also contact the Licensing Office here to do the same.

Ask not what your Monkey can do for you. Ask what you can do for your Monkey!

  1. I can do a lot things to my monkey ;)

  2. No offence (well not much) Mr Monkey, but I would pay a great deal not to have you singing when I am trying to have a drink in the Red Lion…..

  3. Welll done Monkey! The story made the Hickey column. Dizzy heights! Did they pay you?
