Click here for Annesley Abercorn’s campaign site for his bid for the leadership of Conservative Future.
As you can see, he’s taken tips from a number of senior colleagues and gone for the tie-less, open-necked look.

My god…that has to be worst website I’ve ever seen…

The web site may be awful, but the video at:
http://www.actionabercorn.com/images/annesleyWeb.mov
is a classic. Save this. Save this now. I believe! I believe he WILL lead the Tory party some day, and when that day comes I will have this video ready.
I can’t decide which bit I love more - the copyright theft of a Queen song, the continuing inability of Iain Duncan Smith to deliver a short soundbite, or the fact that 10 seconds in, clutching a mug, he’s clearly talking to a wall. There is *no-one* off camera, I swear to god.
Genius! Vote Abercorn! Go on, have a larf.

He will never lead the Tory Party cos he is a geek!!!!

surely that’s why he will lead them?

I admit that his geekiness will play to his advantage in the forthcoming CF elections, as all those spotty 18 year olds vote for the man with the crazy bus fascination. But, when it comes to the Party leadership, this will go against him as it will be evident that he is so out of touch with Britain’s population. Over the next few years he will be lost in the political backrooms (or should that be Peter Stringfellow’s backrooms?!), only to reappear when the BBC decides to remake “On The Buses”.

Just saw the video online! My verdict?
Embarrasing, egotistical, enough recommendations from senior people who are as creditable to the Tories election prospects as the ‘loony left’ were in the 1980s. As I said in my blog he could be a future Tory leader unless he wants to be Prime Minister ;)!
All in all though great comedy. Esp his pitiful attack on Gordon Brown

What I like is that there is not a single young person in his video, other than himself.

I’ve actually had the privilege to hear Annesley speak, and he is an astonishingly charismatic speaker with genuine passion and energy for politics. The video, I agree, is a slight shambles, but this is surely due to the lack of resources to make a more professional one. Annesley has rightly won the respect of many Tory heavyweights and will no doubt continue to do so. I can only compare him to a young William Hague, who was also tipped as a future Prime Minister.

So that’s Iain Dunan Smith. How did *he* win gold medals in the Olympics?
Other than that, great video, really taking the party to a winning place… 1992.
