Recess Monkey has had a sneaky-peek at a new blog by an MP.
The post sent to me indicates it might be a little wittier than most MPs’ sites.
“The House is having a pumpkin carving competition - all entries displayed next Monday and the winner receives a bottle of wine. The Refreshment Department’s instructions begin: ‘ If you want to enter this, first of all buy your pumpkin’. A deliberate pastiche of Mrs Beeton’s ‘first catch your rabbit’? Or did they just want to make it clear that there is no such thing as a parliamentary pumpkin?”
