Last night saw a very interesting event hosted by Progress entitled �And the winner is … How does Labour respond to the new Tory leader?� with John Hutton, Polly Toynbee, Liam Byrne, Ed Miliband and Tristram Hunt.
The high point came during the discussion that followed:
Questioner: “Perhaps the Labour Party should consider missing out Brown and going to the new generation for the next leader?”
Ed Miliband: “Don�t be so ridiculous!”
That sounds like an unambiguous support for an ex-boss over a current brother to me.
