The new, poor-friendly Conservative Party

Recess Monkey has been quite taken by the impassioned approach of the new Conservative Leader. I was particularly impressed with the decision to spend an afternoon with some black people, which no doubt sent a message to the Wintertons and their ilk that racist outbursts will no longer be encouraged. So impressed am I that I may even defect to the Tory Party if they can convince me that they really do care about the socially excluded and those without the opportunities that wealth provides.

Therefore, it is my pleasure to promote this fundraiser for Tatton Conservative Party, the constituency of the Social Justice champion, Shadow Chancellor George Osbourne.

  1. At last - clear blue water on the horizon.

Gordon Brown wants a world where no-one can afford a Fabergé egg, George Osbourne wants a world where everyone can. I’ll have half-a-dozen large organic, please.

  2. Rather naive and out of date point I’m afraid.Wealth alone does not provide oportunities ( look around at those who inherit it!)Leave the class war to poor old “lines - of coke ” - Skinner.
