Today’s Opus Dave snapshot is of Cardinal Daniel Finkelstein. Finkelstein is thought to be the brains of the operation in the same way that Ed Vaizey is another part of Opus Dave’s anatomy.
Finkelstein is thought to be behind this piece of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) on the www.conservatives.com website. NLP is a method by which you programme people into believing or feeling something through the use of linguistic ploys - it’s a bit like the Jedi mind trick.
You may find Dave appealing to all sorts of people on all sorts of issues for the next few weeks until we are all Stepford Voters, blandly marching into ballot booths muttering, “I like Dave, Dave’s a nice guy, Dave’s not a freemason, Dave’s like me, I’d like to have Dave round for dinner, I wish Dave would marry my daughter, these are not the droids you are looking for…”
