One of the highlights of my day, aside from passing by cheery drunks at Kings Cross station every morning and night, is reading about the lives and times of The Darbyshires.
Leah and Robin Darbyshire are both Lib Dems, but don’t let that put you off, as they come across as sweet and honest, rather than malevolent and beardy. It pains me therefore that they have not posted since Monday, leaving me mad with worry about them.
Leah, Robin: please get back in touch, your people need you. Surely you can’t be so transfixed with the leadership election that you can’t bestow us with some news? Even as a slavish member of the Labour Party, I would not hesitate for vote for either of you as a Lib Dem candidate. You could become the Bill and Hillary of the next generation.
Please report any sightings of them. If there is no word by the end of the week I’m calling Interpol.

Is there a word beyond “slavish” for you?

PS “The Darbyshires” are either completely mad or the construct of a nasty, vicious, satirical mind…. I tried to tell them that but you cannot comment on “their” site. Wonder why?

Leah Darbyshire is real - she has even been quoted in The Mirror. There’s no way you’d find a newspaper like them making any stories up.

Personally I preferred the Leicestershires, RIP.

Wow, the Darbyshires are absolutely barking. I agree, great shame you can’t comment, and when are they going to post photos? I want to see that shiny new bathroom for myself.

It amuses me that quite a few people believe their blog to be a parody when sadly I know far too well it isn’t!
I just wonder what they have managed to do, to seemingly upset so many people up in London so quickly??
