There was a strange moment during Prescott’s appearance on The Politics Show yesterday, with a caption popping up stating ‘John Prescott PM‘. Although I’m sure this was nothing more than a MP/PM typing error, it got me thinking…
Betfair have Prescott at a whopping 100/1 at being the next Labour leader, which is a shame. I’d love for our country to be represented by the kind of person who, when attacked by a bloke with an egg, instinctively throws a jab and then gets into a wrestling tussle. He’d no doubt lead us into international isolation as he systematically feuded with every other major political leader around the world, and turned the G8 summit into some sort of kick-boxing championship…
But wouldn’t that be more fun than another decade led by another bland PM, with a front bench of suck-ups so media trained as to remove any trace of personality. It’s a na�ve hope I know, but anything is better than being preached at by Blair, or Cameron…
