  1. If I were you I would check that the terms of the injunction don’t also cover disclosure of Mahmood’s real name (see the Galloway letter to MPs.)

  2. Do they really have someone called Jonathan CRUSHER working at a posh firm like that? You want to be careful Monkey old mate - they might send him round for a ‘visit’

  3. I assume that they will produce a copy of the order which you can put on the site? Did they have to explain to the court why they wanted this order?

  4. I love the fact that one of her colleagues is called CRUSHER!!!! Take the photo off the site, or we’ll send CRUSHER round!!!!

  5. The picture is easily accessable using a google search.

  6. On what grounds have they persuaded a Judge to issue a Court Order preventing publication of this tosser’s picture?
Please post the actual letter, Recess. I gotta to know!
I just can’t get my head round this.

  7. Lawyers are SO lame.

  8. Fair comment in the public interest.

Stand up for yourself. Are you a trembling mouse or proud primate?

  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazher_Mahmood

Scroll down to the bottom. Sure as hell surprised me to see it there.

  10. Information wants to be free!

  11. Pervez Khan (aka Mazher Mahmood, aka The Fake Sheik)Guido published an image of the notorious ‘Fake Sheik’ last Thursday. Recess Monkey also published the image, but has now removed it following a gagging order from News of the World. There’s a very good question here: On what grounds…

I see it didnt take long for the Monkey incident to be metnioned in there

  13. There’s a copy of the court order on this chap’s blog -http://www.septicisle.info/2006/04/obsolete-ordered-to-remove-photo-of.html

  14. It’s after 16.00. Shouldn’t a copy of that photo be going back up around now?

  15. It’s after 16.00. Shouldn’t a copy of that photo be going back up around now?

  16. They hit me too, although I didn’t get an email asking me to tell them where I got the image from.

  17. It’s after 4pm

    Lets have that photo again

  18. The injunction has been extended to 5pm while the case is being heard.

  19. The injuction has been extended to 5pm though (http://media.guardian.co.uk/)

  20. Call me pedantic, but what sort of lawyer doesn’t know that a written question ends with a question mark?

  21. Just to ask again but:
“On what grounds have they persuaded a Judge to issue a Court Order preventing publication of this tosser’s picture?”
I admit my knowledge of this area is law is limited, but still, no authority immediately springs to mind under which this order could be issued (except maybe breach of copyright?)
