Recess Monkey hears that Rehman Chishti will be speaking at Tory Party Spring Conference today. This is quite a coincidence given the recent debate over the role of Judas Iscariot in Christian Theology.
Funnily enough, Judas came to me in a dream last night and told me that he was shocked at Rehman Chishti�s mercenary treachery and while he (Judas) had found it hard enough to execute his role in helping Jesus achieve his destiny, even he would have baulked at betraying 200,000 comrades by defecting to a borderline rascist, sexist and homophobic party that wants to line up the nation�s working class and bugger them one by one. But you can�t read too much into dreams.
However, I did receive a report of an interesting exchange this week when a Labour activist bumped into Rehman at Inner Temple, outside the Temple (of Da Vinci Code fame) while he was trying to escort a former Pakistani Ambassador to London.

This whole thing about Tories being racist homophobes is also rather yawn inducing. The truth is that racists come in every shade, gender, age, nationality and sexual orientation - AND THEY ARE IN EVERY PARTY.

And I don’t really buy the argument that you can’t attack institutional racism because individual racists get everywhere.
