Recess Monkey readers have spoken - and the result is clear. Despite the rather right-wing readership around here one way and another, only 14% votes indicated George Osborne should be either Prime Minister (4%), Chancellor (9%) or Shadow Chancellor (1%).
On the other hand, a whopping 37% said he’d make a good Foxton’s Estate Agent, 23% said Minister for Cocktail Parties and 10% say he should be a Country Baronet.
It’s clear that without the support of Recess Monkey readers, Osborne’s political career is heading for choppy waters. Fortunately he has his real estate career to fall back on.

I’m confused (it’s probably age related, it often is nowadays) - you used the phrase “good Foxton’s Estate Agent”. Are we making moral judgements here?

I think Osbourne has one of trhose faces that looks like it needs punching - perhaps thats why people think of hom as a Foxtons Estate Agent. That said if it was between smacking him or David Milliband in the face, Milliband wiuld get it every time. Somehow he’s even more of a supercillious little c**t that Osbourne.

Hey Recess it is because you have a rather right wing readership that Osborne has got such a drubbing, true Conservatives want to see someone effective in the Shadow Chancellor role and he isn’t. Also it isn’t the exclusive preserve of the left to dislike supercilious puffed up posh twats you know.

It is obvious that George should be Drug and Vice Squad detective. Set a thief to catch a thief….
