Pissed off his local constituency officials by not spending enough time in Westmorland and Lonsdale at the last election. Refused to appear on a local radio debate with the Lib Dem Tim Farron — who won by 200-od votes. Is likely to blame a couple of hundred voided postal votes in Grange over Sands, but will not make the same mistake again!
