
It has been revealed that Lib Dem leader Menzies Campbell has had a “free and frank” discussion with party president Simon Hughes over alleged criticism of Campbell’s leadership performance. Claims that he read his retort off cue cards with shaking hands and mistakenly sat down halfway through discussing problems with Hughes have yet to be proven. This of course raises the prospect of a possible future coup, an event unheard of in recent Lib Dem history…
