After the previous posts, Recess Monkey has received a flood of correspondence (3 emails) suggesting that the blame for the A List fiasco will land at the feet of Bernard Jenkin MP.
Not only is Jenkin responsible for candidate selection but he also undertook a number of the candidate interviews. One correspondent said, “Very few of the women Bernard interviewed were approved for the candidates panel, let alone the priority list. A number of people are having to be re-interviewed in order prevent complaints from constituency associations.”

I am astonished that he let few of the women he interviewed through. That must be an accurate assessment of their ability as I have often been assured that Bernard is very keen on women candidates.
