Recess Monkey yesterday contacted MP Greg Hands regarding his question on deaths in graveyards and cemeteries.
We asked two questions;
1. Are you a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and is this the source of your interest in graveyard deaths?
2. Why do you not have an interest in deaths in crematoria, where there are incinerators and other health & safety hazards?
Greg Hand’s assistant, after speaking with the Hammersmith MP, kindly texted me the words, “No Comment”.
So he likes asking stupid questions but he’s not so hot when it comes to answering them.

It’s not intrinsically a stupid question, as I commented previously. Three people died in the 1999-2004 period due to unstable memorials in graveyards. Councils have responded to this by ‘laying down’ memorial stones. Cue tabloid fuss when someone discovers dear Great Aunt Agatha’s gravestone has been knocked over by the council.

I suggest you contact Greg Hands to discuss this further, perhaps he’ll be more forthcoming with you than he was with me.
