Labour Party seeks blogger

The Labour Party has launched a competition to be the official Labour Party Blogger at conference in Manchester this year.

Blogging for socialism

Although the Labour website description of the prize is a quite modest: “You’ll be given access to all the key speeches and events at Conference and you’ll be blogging from the floor about your experiences”. A source at HQ mutters darkly that the winner will have “access” to people and events that will make it “worthwhile” to the ultimate winner.

To enter, all you need to do is email blogatconference@new.labour.org.uk detailing your:

* name
* address
* phone number
* blog URL
* and 100 words on why you should be our Conference blogger.

“We will pick the best, the most innovative and the freshest entry before announcing the winner on Friday 8 September. So good luck and send us a blog!”

Recess Monkey will be entering so the rest of you guys may as well go home. Except Barry Beef perhaps - he’s the only real competition around these parts.

  1. I wouldn’t want the bloody job anyhow, so there.

    I just do not think I could stand being within 25 yards of Princess Tony without going up to him and twatting the living crap out of him.

  2. Talk about selling out!

    Surely being the “official” blogger of a party is defeating the point of blogging?

  3. Screw the point, I just want the fame.

    Alfie won’t be leaving anymore comments as he has been arrested and detained without trial as a potential terrorist.

    Is that Prezza’s private office?
    You’d be rubbish at Conference without my brown shoes, Monkey.

  5. Maybe I’ll have a go. I’m currently practicing TonySpeak on this site (under construction) :
