
Anyone else think that for a man who has (supposedly) been eschewing any media talk of the leadership contest and his possible future, John Reid used the word ‘leadership’ rather a lot during his Conference speech?
It was a well-delivered speech with simple soundbite messages, which serve the dual purpose of pleasing members and media. But not quite so good as to stop the TV showing one delegate reading their copy of the Daily Mirror during the speech…
