I obviously wasn’t the only person to think that John Reid used the word ‘leadership’ a lot during his Conference speech.
But reading the speech transcript on the Labour Party website, he apparently only used the words ‘lead’ or ‘leadership’ five times.
“Check Against Delivery” it says. I think I might have to do that over the weekend. Anyone who watched the speech certainly felt the full emphasis of those five usages, if indeed there were only five.
