At a finge event today George Osborne called Gordon Brown ‘slightly autistic‘.
And they claim they aren’t the Nasty Party…

Having listened to the tape - the journalist first called Osbourne slightly autistic - he then clumsily tried to deflect the question to Gordon Brown.

Compared to you who are always so positive eh? Cheap point scoring is very unbecoming.

And cheap insults traded between politicians are what turns the public off about politics. I have no time for politicians from any camp behaving in such a manner (I was just as angry at Charles Clarke last month).
Politicians should have slightly higher standards than blogs given that they are public figures and representatives of the people, but you won’t find this blog randomly insulting politicians - one should have a reason to do so.
I think it’s quite clear what George Osborne meant when he deflected the mention of autism in the direction of Gordon Brown - a slip on his part clearly, but a revealing one.

Stings a little, huh? I doubt Osborne is so good on his feet that he meant to do it, but it is a clever (and easily apologised for) way of getting every news bulletin to draw attention to Brown’s ‘easy way with people’.
