Sack the Anarchists

Uprooting democracy has never been so pretty

On Monday there is going to be a demonstration outside the Palace of Westminster by a group wanting to Sack Parliament, and not in the sense of looting the fine artwork. From 1pm they are apparently planning to try to stop MPs and Peers getting in to Parliament. Fat chance of that, given how many entrances there are to the Estate.

Besides the fact that there are obviously elections at which to do this, what exactly do they want to happen if they do achieve their aims? Revert to monarchy? Their literature is strangely silent on what would come next. Typical bloody anarchists - no idea what they’re doing. At least Guido knew what he wanted…

  1. Nice-looking website, but most of links don’t work, and there’s no ISP number.
Undoubtedly 15 protesters and 30 dogs on strings will turn up on the day.

  2. Isn’t it illegal to stop an MP going to a divison?

  3. It’s clearly the Stoppers and the SWP in another guise. Exactly the same gripes. No causal explanation of how the UK parliament affects violent disputes in other parts of the world. Sorry, the Middle East. News of ethnic cleansing in Darfur and Burma hasn’t reached them. What they’re saying isn’t sack Parliament, it doesn’t work but sack Parliament because we don’t agree with its decisions on a narrow range of policies.
