Opus Dave turns on Cameron over NHS

Tory campaign group Direct Democracy today attacks David Cameron over the NHS.

In a press release titled, “Cameron’s ludicrous NHS policy”, Direct Democracy announces, “Cameron’s plan for the NHS is virtually identical to Brown’s - and equally flawed”. It continues, “It is easy to win cheap applause by promising to ‘trust the professionals’ - but Mr Cameron’s proposals would simply remove the Government from the equation, rendering the NHS unreformable and accountable to no one save a toothless quango”.

Direct Democracy is backed by Adam Afriyie MP, Richard Benyon MP, Peter Bottomley MP, Martin Callanan MEP, Douglas Carswell MP, Greg Clark MP, Stephen Crabb MP. Iain Dale, Philip Dunne MP, Murdo Fraser MSP, David Gauke MP, Robert Goodwill MP, Michael Gove MP, Daniel Hannan MEP, Mark Harper MP, Nick Herbert MP, Chris Heaton-Harris MEP, Adam Holloway MP, Jeremy Hunt MP, Stewart Jackson MP, Brian Monteith MSP, Brooks Newmark MP, John Penrose MP and Cameron’s own speechwriter Danny Kruger.

Recess Monkey can’t help thinking that a few careers might be dented if those above continue to support press releases saying D-Cam is “ludicrous”.

  1. I have just watched you on Sky and believe you are a totally pretentious pratt with the mental ability of a retarded monkey.

  2. I totally disagree with you Nick. he won the fight on N24 in my view. Nigel Evans looked a right old git. the whole problem is none of these pols know how to communicate using web stuff. they just think it’s an opportunity for them to shout louder. they’re not changing at all. Direct democracy are right though, and it would be worth while pols of the left to think bear it in mind, for when you’re in opposition, which sadly at the rate things are going could be sooner than you think …

  3. Nick - you’re welcome to your view - but try leaving a comment like that on David “substance” Cameron’s blog. Your comment will never make it past the moderator. Neither will you be able to ask him anything less than sycophantic on policy matters.
