There’s been a lot media coverage of what senior politicians have on their iPods, with Gordon Brown and David Cameron both desperately attempting to appear cool and in-touch. But on the backbenches you can find genuine music aficionados.
Lib Dem Adrian Sanders (Torbay) may not look like a rock god, but so committed is he that he hosts an occasional rock show on his local radio station Palm 105.5 FM.
He’s up this Friday from 9pm-11pm and you can listen on the website if you’re not in South Devon. Details for phoning/emailing the studio are here.

Yes, that’s definitely a top radio tip to hurry home for! As if local radio was not god-awful enough, Devon local radio an even more horrifying thought, LibDem Devon local radio playing rock seems like a kind of hell someone thought up especially for me.

Christ, what a complete tosser. He’s not content with screwing up the country - he has to go and screw up the airwaves as well.
I’ve nothing against MP’s having other job’s. Indeed, it’d be welcome news to find that any MP could hold down a proper job. But there’s a million spotty youths wanking themselves to sleep at night dreaming of getting a break as a radio DJ and this tosspot has to steal the prize.
