Wobbly Whips

Tomorrow (Tuesday) there’s an Opposition Half-day debate being run by the SNP and Plaid Cymru on the conduct of the war in Iraq.

This seems to be deeply un-nerving the Labour Whips, who are busy recalling MPs from overseas wherever possible. It’ll be interesting to see if they are desperate enough to call back the MPs who are currently in the Congo for the elections.

Worrying times if we can’t find enough MPs in the country to defeat an SNP/Plaid motion…

  1. ” It’ll be interesting to see if they are desperate enough to call back the MPs who are currently in the Congo for the elections.”

During the Congo election first round, Corbyn was among the MPs sent down there, is he still there? If Armstrong had been still in charge, I would bet in her allowing all loyalist MPs to Congo and all rebels to stay in the Commons to vote

  2. I think I’ve seen Coryn too recently, though I suppose he could be. I’m told Lyn Brown is out there at the moment, not sure who else.
