David Cameron is apparently not the only person to be on the receiving end of a big clunking fist - under the Cabinet Office’s plan for transforming government (ie. beating the Civil Service into shape) there is a ‘Heavy Hitter Programme’ for the Home Office.
The plan was drawn up in November 2005 and six months later John Reid became Home Secretary. Hmmmmm…
