Harry Cohen (Leyton & Wanstead): To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether the Treasury provides biscuits to (a) staff and (b) guests with its (i) logo and (ii) name baked on; and if he will make a statement. (107532)
John Healey: The Treasury does not provide biscuits with its logo or name baked on.
10 years in charge and you still don’t get good biscuits!
Whilst we’re talking about food, I am reliably informed that on the subject of using Members’ Dining Rooms for fundraising activities, there are now 15 Tory backbenchers whose names have been submitted to the Standards and Privileges Committee for allegedly engaging in this dubious practice.

When you start looking at fundraising all 3 major parties have fucked up and are doing things that aren’t allowed. The tories may or may not have done this, but I would bet you that labour and the libdems have too. I think the problem is that fundraising was a grey area until the cash for peers, which has brough some actions into the public eye…

That may be true - but when I went for tea at the Treasury I had to endure Gordon for over an hour telling me how clever he thought he was. All the staff told me they had no need to put Gordon’s name on a biscuit - for one had been named after him - yes that’s right they were called Boasters.

Have you reported Janet Anderson MP for using House facilities for a fundraiser for a foreign political party yet?
Thought not.

And you knocked Andrew Rosindell for asking, in your view, pointless questions.
