The truth is always more amusing and surprising than fiction. Lembit Opik has parted ways with Sian Lloyd, and has shacked up with one of the Cheeky Girls.
So how many references can MPs make in the Chamber about this in the two days they have left before Christmas? Place your bets now…

So truth really is stranger than fiction. Clearly the guy must be off his rocker but then he is a lib dem. As such his role in governing the country nil. His role in keeping the nation entertained, a kind of Westminster court jester, fulfilled admirably.

Blair will resign in days if the police find one of his emails was not handed over rather than face arrest.

Somewhat off the topic, but that’s nonsense. Tony is a known technophobe, and doesn’t use emails himself anyway. His staff would carry the can for any screw-ups in that regard.

Listen out for the gunshot from the bunker.

Run that past me again parburypolitica - Lembit is insane and unfit to be an MP by virtue of the fact that he’s amicably split up with his fiance and is seeing someone else? I know spurious reasoning and ludicrous conclusions from dodgy intelligence is a hallmark of the Labour Party - but that is perhaps the weakest line of argument I’ve seen in a long time.

Ok so which makes a person more insane and unfit to be an MP then; packing in a failing relationship with one well known beauty in order to go out with a younger well known beauty or selling off peerages to party donors and then trying to hide the evidence and blame everyone else around you? The first British PM ever to be interviewed by the Police as a part of a criminal investigation and now looking like he’ll have to resign in ignominy, what a wonderful legacy Bliar will leave, and that’s before we go anywhere near the Iraq war or the effectrive destruction of the NHS.

Lembit Opik can go out with anyone he likes and it doesn’t reflect badly on him as a man or a politician, but it is very funny…

Sorry this is a LibDem scandal that doesnt involve a gaggle of rent boys and being poo’d in the face?
Is Opik some sort of LibDem pervert then?
