Recess Monkey readers may be aware that I will be supporting Mr Benn for the deputy leadership of the Labour Party when the time comes. However, it rather constrains me from being mean about the other candidates, as it wouldn’t really be within the realm of comradeliness. Fellow writers on this blog may yet write about the candidates - including Mr Benn - but think I shall steer clear.
Hamer Shawcross on the other hand has no such qualms and has published this hilarious sendup, upon which I shall refrain from commenting.

I’ll never forget this woman, Hilary Benn on the BBC, scoring cheap political points about the deaths of innocents in Iraq. I bet his Dad is spinning in his grave.

Let’s hope your campaigning prowess is a little more refined than the disgraceful poll you are currently running.
I wouldn’t mind if there were genuinely more racist, bigotted people in the Tory Party than there are in Labour, but a short stay in a WMC or Labour club would definately give a different impression. Probably why most BNP support comes from traditionally Labour (sink estates) area.
