Tory accuses party of racism, sexism AND ageism…

…and that’s a lot of ism.

The Conservative Party is reeling (well it would be if it gave a toss) after a tirade by Halesowen Councillor Ken Turner, accusing CCHQ of racism, sexism and ageism after failing to select him to be their parliamentary candidate at the next General Election.

disgusted of Halesowen

Turner took the audacious step of announcing his parliamentary candidacy for Halesowen & Rowley Regis in September 2006 before being selected by his constituency association. It was an enormous shock then when Tory HQ declared him unfit for parliamentary office, ruling him out of the Halesowen selection.

Turner said, “I have been excluded - central office wouldn’t like me as an MP for Halesowen and Rowley Regis.” When asked the reason why, he said, “Age, gender, sex, a male of 63, white in colour - I think when we see who gets the position - the one who has [neighbouring] Stourbridge is a deputy chairman at the candidates’ office, a millionairess lesbian - it speaks volumes.”

  1. His acqusations against a neighbouring PPC speak volumes, far too many Cllrs think too highly of themselves.

  2. what a c**k

  3. Ah, the lovely Ken Turner! The reason he’ll never get selected as a parliamentary candidate is that he is disliked by all those who have the misfortune to be his colleagues.
