Blood on the dancefloor

Baroness David

Despite the three days since 93 year old Baroness David fell down the Portcullis escalators, reports suggest there is still a crusty pool of blood in the escalator grooves.

Come on guys, clean it up! (or add a chalk outline)

  1. This flies in the face of the kind post that was on this blog when she fell.

    You arsehold Monkey

  2. or even arsehole.

Arsehold is a different kettle of fish.

  3. Frankly, I don’t think she’s going to want to see it still there when she gets back

  4. It was an absolutely shocking accident.

Monkey, if you want to redeem yourself with some compassionate investigative journalism, I understand there was a similar serious accident on the same escalator stairs around 2 months ago. Again there was a large blood spillage.

It may be worth finding out how many (serious) accidents there have been on that set of escalators - get an MP to table a PQ.

I have heard the problem is that the angle of descent is too steep which can cause people to tumble down them - especially if they are rushing (e.g. towards the House for a vote).

Of course there is no legal need for the Serjeant to take any notice of Health & Safety reports (as technically the Palace of Westminster is a Royal Palace) - however I am sure he must be now having another look at the situation.
