
Is the cash for peerages investigation unravelling? It seems so as today the CPS rejected the case against Des Smith, who said some silly things to a Sunday Times journalist. In the Sunday Times article, they published a transcript of the conversation between the journalist but strangely chose to excise the bits about spanking. Does the Sunday Times ever get accused of spinning stories?
Smith got himself into a very sad and very human muddle and it’s fortunate that the CPS saw this in the context of a middle aged man and his libido.
And don’t waste your pity on Guido Fawkes, I’m sure he has a long list of people yet to victimise before the investigation is finally over.
