Much has been made in the media about David Cameron’s change of hair parting - yet Recess Monkey can reveal exclusively the reason for this change of style. A Labour intern happened to be watching PMQs from the special gallery yesterday and has reported to Recess Monkey that there is a distinct bald spot on the young pretender’s crown.
Recess Monkey’s advice to the balding David Cameron is to seek support from those closest to you rather than following the example of another balding colleague.

I myself have never suffered from such a debilitating and virility retarding condition, however I believe there are fine centres close to Westminster that Dave could visit (http://www.belgraviacentre.com/hairlosstreatment.htm?gclid=CN68o9-4iosCFSCyEAodf0XMHA ).
Don’t s’pose there’s any chance of a pic of the bald one. Happy to offer up a prize if needs be.

Is this the best you can do RM. Gordon gets found out for his duplicitous budget, The Tories are up in the polls as a result, and all you can talk about is DC’d haicut. Methinks you need a hair-shirt to concentrate your mind on important matters.

Ah, another Tory well up with the pace. Surely getting rid of the 10% banding is encouraging growth, encouraging people to earn more so that they no longer need to depend on tax credits. It’s incentivisation you. Helping people out at the early stage and them rewarding them with greater tax breaks when they are less reliant on the state. Clearly you’ve not really thought this through.
Of course, left to the Tories all we got were the delphic words ’sharing the proceeds of growth’. And it took a 2p cut for Cameron to actually confirm that ’sharing the proceeds of growth’ did, incontrovertibly mean ‘tax cut’. Something which he’s been remarkably reluctant up to now to admit to.
So what’s the plan now Dave?

I see so you incentivise low earners by doubling their marginal tax rate from 10% to 20%, Great, I know many people who won’t go near the tax credit system as they’ve been hammered with overpayment demands for 000’s. The whole thing is a complete mess.
And Keir, There was no 2p cut in reality, its smoke and mirrors and Brown has just reinforced voters as to his slippery nature.(never mind the three bogies he eat during PMQ’s!

Ah, well in reducing the argument to a discussion about bogies I suspect we learn all we are ever going to learn about Tory tax policy.

Well George Osborne certainly isn’t going to spell it out before the Election!
But we do know that Gordon Brown has set the Labour standard of telling people that they are getting a tax cut without telling them clearly that the 2p “cut”, is largely wiped out by the abolition of the 10p rate (that he introduced). Some and mirrors, THe hallmark of New Labour. Methinks the polls (including today’s Yougov poll) will make it clear what the electorate thinks.

Smoke and mirrors/…..
Maggie Thatcher Fan said this on March 23rd, 2007 at 5:37 pm
Not smoke and mirrors at all. I have a genuine tax cut coming, and poorer people have a vastly improved and expanded tax credit system to benefit from.
Tories are just jealous that they didn’t have the balls to do it, and we know what would have happened as well - everything that Brown did and cut tax credits too. Thats where our cuddly Tory Party really sits.

Aboslute tosh, Many people are worse off, including me, I cannot claim tax credits and my tax rate has gone up from 10% to 20%. Its a disgrace..add in the 40 new stealth taxes, and its typical Gordon Brown. The voters are not deceived. Take a look at the Times this morning. Its headline is that the Budget backfires on Brown, and we are talking Murdoch press !
