This is the McDonnell campaign’s latest idea to canvass signatures. Find an MP who opposed Trident (because that obviously makes them a staunch Leftie across the board), and then see if you can find a supporter or two in their constituency to send in the postcard.
The Brown-supporting MP this came from was not exactly impressed by the targeting, let alone the message…

Well, I can’t see why an MP who opposed Trident shouldn’t be asked to support a candidate who took the same view! In fact, all they are being asked to do is _nominate_ him, not even vote for him (if they don’t like his other left-wing policies)
