Connoisseurs of the Parliamentary breakfast will be delighted by the news that streaky bacon is no longer on the menu for the Refreshments Department.
As an occasional consumer of a Debate bacon roll in the morning (inferior to the Terrace sausage sandwich, but much closer to the office), it has long been clear that equal quantities of streaky bacon and the much nicer back bacon get cooked, but that the streaky stuff gets left till last because no one really likes it.
Rejoice! I will celebrate tomorrow morning with a bacon sandwich to salve the effects of watching the football in the pub tonight…
Edit: I see the delectable one is a supporter of the streaky stuff. No accounting for taste I guess…
