Gordon Brown’s first election victory

Comrades in Milton Keynes are claiming the first electoral success of the Brown era.

In a Council by-election held yesterday for the Whaddon Ward, Labour candidate Camilla Turnbull won with a 200 majority over her Tory opponent - a better result than activists had dared hope for apparently.

Take heart, Gordon is officially a winner.

  1. Labour also gained a ward from the tories in Nuneaton & Bedworth DC yesterday. The tories were pushed in third place by BNP and the LDs were pushed in last place by English Democrats

  2. That’s great news. Hopefully the momentum will continue with success at the by-elections next month.
