Step 1: Offend half the country by threatening to reintroduce museum charges
Step 2: Offend the entire country by threatening to increase the tax on alcohol
Step 3: Lose election
Lesson: Ephemeral debates on Europe or the Human Rights Act won’t resonate half as much with voters as the price of a pint.

Er, if the policy on alcohol found its way into a manifesto you might have a point, but it won’t, and you don’t. Interesting that you don’t give appear to give a toss about the actual issue of social breakdown rather than crowing that the Conservatives have made a political mistake. Still, that’s the ‘people’s party’ for you.

3, not by 7p in the pint in one go they haven’t, no, so I’d be careful who you’re calling stupid.
What’s that, no defence of the plans to charge for museum entry?
