The latest Michael Moore film, Sicko, about the American health insurance system is knocking around on GoogleVideo for those whose ethics don’t preclude them watching it.
I’ll probably go to the cinema for this one, but the opening credits I watched just now should be enough to get most Brits down on their knees to thank god and Nye Bevan for the NHS.

Just watched the whole thing. Typical Michael Moore selective footage (but then show me a documentary maker who doesn’t) and it is pretty scary to think that a population the size of ours does not have easy access to medical insurance in the US. Benn comes accross brilliantly.

Good luck seeing it at the cinema - as of last week, it still didn’t have a uk distributor.

And we should all be wishing that we had the German or Dutch mixed provision health care systems which have none of the unacceptable inequalities of the US system but also don’t have any of the treatment rationing, MRSA, administrators running wild, money pit or insane target driven culture problems of the ever more creaky NHS.
