Mr Darling has actually got something of the “i don’t deserve my job but my mate is PM” about him…. well done John Redwood for stating the absolute obvious.

Actually Redwood is wrong, if Darling were a scholarship boy then that at least would mean that he was of sufficient intelligence and ability to warrant being Chancellor. Since that is plainly not the case, well it is plain to everyone except for Mr Personality Flaw (no-one actually elected me PM) himself, Redwood must be wrong. It really is a serious shame for our Country that the Parliamentary Labour Party is so terribly devoid of genuine talent and ability.
Oh and I do hope that all you Monkeys are looking forward to your drubbing in Ealing Southall on Thursday.

Isn’t this the argument the Tories are using to justify Boris for London - he got his place in Eton on a scholarship. Of course Eton scholarships are the exception to the rule - it is a public school after all. They still haven’t come to terms with education being available for all

I particularly liked the bit criticising Brown for ‘debt and high interest rates’. Neither of which, of course, were features of the Tory years.

I would imagine that most of the public have never heard of or could put a name to the photo negative man that is our new chancellor.

3) At least the Tories are open about who went to public schools.
Why do the many Labour MP’s and ministers that went to public schools try to hide it,Balls,Ruth Kelly,Kitty Usher,Jack Straw?
It just looks so absurd.
When will those in Labour still trying to fight the class wars of the last century wake up and realise the public couldn’t care where anyone was educated.

Do you have something to say for yourself that doesn’t involve criticising people who actually work for a living?
