The anyone-but-Brown camp has finally given up the ghost. Alan Milburn and Charles Clarke have wound up their 2020 Vision website, which was supposed to inform the Labour party policy debate up to the year 2020.
No one will mourn its passing. Despite the protestations of its founders it was never anything more than a publicity vehicle for themselves and the remnants of the Ultra-Blairites. A defiant but doomed last stand.
In the end it lasted just 22 weeks - not much more than 2020 hours.
