It’s hard to get massively excited about the defection of an unsuccessful Tory Council candidate - rising star or otherwise - but the fact that he’s Welsh does at least mean that the Conservatives’ membership there has just shrunk by 5%.
It still amazes me how quickly an acolyte can lose the faith. Check out the brown-nose comment he made six months ago on the Daily Mail website.
