Election Fever

I’m not massively keen on an early election myself, and for a long time the talk of October sounded ludicrous. However one short line in the Guardian today should be enough to give everyone pause for thought.

“Labour officials last night confirmed they have just advertised for 26 jobs working for the party, many on short-term contracts.”

That sounds suspiciously like the Regional Organisers to me - extra help taken on short-term contracts to help coordinate the work over a group of seats for the month or two leading up to a general election.

There’s no sign of these positions on the Labour jobs page yet, and I can’t see anything on the Members pages either. Keep your eyes peeled…

  5. […] murmuring is rolling on about an Autumn poll. I don’t want one. Not for any decent political reason, or a generalised dislike of elections […]
