Who turned out the lights?

There’s just been a brief blackout across most of the Parliamentary estate - the lights, computers, televisions - everything briefly lost power in Portcullis House, 1 Parliament Street and the Norman Shaws.

In Portcullis House when the power is restored, there is obviously some kind of default setting for much of the equipment - blinds start activating automatically and some of the door locks reset. Time for a crime spree?

It seems as though the power cut wasn’t as brief as I thought - apparently 1 Parliament Street is still without power 5mins later.

In the movies, you cut the power and then you launch your daring heist…is anyone protecting our national treasures? Can anyone tell me where Gwyneth Dunwoody is?

  1. So disappointed that all you state subsidised parliamentary bloggers have been ranting and raving over muffin gate but shown no interest in this ramp in which MPs are getting an hour’s headstart in the queues AND double helpings.

  2. How ironic - the lights go out in Parliament at the same time as the lights start fading on Labour’s time in government.
