After their tiff live on TV, in which they both came across like four-year olds having a tantrum, you would think Chris Huhne and Nick Clegg would try to put this calamity nonsense behind them.
So why then was Huhne Cheerleader No1 Lynne Featherstone on the Westminster Hour telling everyone that she never saw the “Calamity Clegg” line in the now-historic leaflet before it was published? One LibDem source says, “I was in the same meeting as Lynne and she saw the line just like everyone else did”.
Big fishes in the little Liberal pond need to be careful not to pass the buck so far that it ends up where it started.
