Prince just wants to be treated like everyone else…

…except for primogeniture, corporation tax, inheritance tax, capital gains tax and wildlife protection laws.

Prince Harry

And another thing, why’s he wearing the stars and stripes on his cap? Old blighty not good enough for ‘im?

  1. […] Recess Monkey says that Prince Harry would like to be treated just like everyone else except for: […]

  2. He just wants to be treated the same as Lord Mancroft (with a bunch of promiscuous, dirty nurses)

  3. It’s terrible that he had to go over there and fight Nu Labour’s war for them isn’t it…

  4. I think that you will regret this post more even than the Nadine Dorries post.

  5. Let me get this straight. A coddled kid serves some time fighting an illegal and unjust war, for sure, for sure, out of harm’s way at all times, and he’s some kind of a hero? Front page coverage in newspapers all over the world. Unending, adoring TV coverage, complete with shots of his firing of a machine gun, arranged interviews ad infinitum, without the slightest question as to right or wrong. What a total propaganda victory for the war mongers.

Prince Harry didn’t have to go and he may well be brave, but the mainstream media can hardly stoop much lower. Afghanistan is only slightly less in violation of a whole slew of international laws, charters and conventions than the Iraq war. Take your pick: violating the sovereignty of nations and the legal concept of just wars, the use of horrendous weapons of mass destruction, the mistreatment of prisoners, the killing of civilians, the destruction of non-military targets, war profiteering, “unexploded ordinance” and on and on.

During the Vietnam war, the media had the guts to get out there and report the truth, and show the horror of war, night after night, on the six o’clock news. Now all we get is sanitized repeats of what the military wants them to report, from the safety of fortified safe zones.

    What gutless wonders!

  6. Preceptive as ever RM. Good to see rumours of your death have been greatly exaggerated.

  7. “why’s he wearing the stars and stripes on his cap?”

Because that’s who the Labour provided our troops for to fight their war.

“Old blighty not good enough for ‘im?”

Well he said he didn’t like being in (Labour-run) England these days. That Afghanistan is preferable is a bit of a damning indictment of Brown don’t you think?
