The Guardian has just published a new Ipsos-Mori poll on their website, and it shows that Ken has edged into the lead.
After second preferences, amongst people who say they will definitely vote, Ken leads 52-48.
This election is really going down to the wire, but as they like to say in the states, it looks like Ken has the momentum.
Today, the tories’ decided to take things nasty and tried to sabotage Ken’s joint campaign event with Sian Berry from the Greens. According to the standard, the tories even got physical with Jenny Jones AM (a grandmother!).
Ken will be out with activists campaigning all weekend and into next week, and there are dozens and dozens of events being organised locally, and online through the campaign’s website here.

Another massively contrived anti Boris non story from Recess, god you lot must be desperate to be sinking to this kind of crud.
Livingstone is Leavingsoon, as he very well deserves to. And seeing as how he was totally happy to stand against an official Labour candidate the first time around it seems, at best, downright hypocritical for any of you Labour apparatchiks to be trying to claim him as genuinely one of your own. He is a Socialist Action, Trotskyite, Nepotistic, Anti Semite with a nauseating penchant for cosying up to violent oppressive dictators and hate filled islamofascists at our expense and in our name. Good riddance to him and all those around him.
Oh and Mr Hilton, how can you as, I understand, a Jew, support someone as blatantly Jew hating as Leavingsoon? Please do tell us soon, it’ll make better reading than these nonsense inventions about Boris Johnson.

I’m backing Ken because he’s done more to promote racial harmony in this city than anyone ever.
I’ll back Ken because he has given this city a coherent identity.
Because when we were bombed and shaken, he spoke for all of us and made me feel confident that the people in charge were doing their best and keeping the people I love a safe as they can be.
Because the idea of Boris having an £11bn budget scares he hell out of me.
Because Boris’ housing policy will mean the poor subsidising the middle class buying their homes.
Because Paddick only seems to want the job because he has a grudge against Iain Blair and wants to be his boss.
And because Sian Berry can’t win - though I think she’d be great too.
There are more reasons but that will do for now.

Harriet Harman was, for once, right - the Tories are the nasty party, Boris may not be a bully like the rest of them, but he’s still incompetent.
