Get out of my Face(book)

Guess where Ashcroft’s key seats money’s going now – he’s buying ad space all over Facebook!

Imagine my surprise when I discovered an appeal from Harrow Tory PPC Dr Rachel Joyce on my page to “join the campaign in Harrow to get a stronger voice for local people, a better Britain and a better world.”

On the one hand, I’m glad it’s such a haphazard pointless waste of money Lord Belize’s money (not least because I live in Greenwich - miles from Harrow - and I would piss lemon juice before I’d vote Tory) but what really annoys me is that I can’t get rid of her!

I can drop friends at the touch of a button - I can block stalkers - but getting rid of an uninvited Tory is nigh on impossible.

Should I set up my own group “Ashcroft - get out of my Face(book)!”

Oh well, so long as it’s there, I’ll click on it as often as possible knowing it’s slowly denting the Ascroft purse.

  1. Perhaps that’s what Gordon Brown needs, a Facebook page. Looks like it’s the only way he’ll ever have any friends.

  2. Oh and Recess, you are forgetting that Lord Sainsbury has given £15 million to Labour which is far far more than Lord Ashcroft has given to the Tories. Therefore your obsession with the Ashcroft money looks at best hypocritical and at worst downright peculiar.

  3. Ah - but you, Mr Angry, have forgotten that when one donates to the Labour Party, one is helping to end poverty and save the planet - while when one contributes to the Tory Party, one is seeking to screw the poor and perpetuate discrimination. That’s a very black and white analysis, but if even you take a more nuanced view and deny that Tories are inherently evil, you have to admit that Tories are Karma Net Negative, while Labour - even with its imperfections, is undeniably Karma Net Positive.

Which probably means you will be reincarnated as some sort of shit-dwelling protozoa or bacterium.

    In my humble opinion.

  4. Also Sainsbury pays taxes in the UK!

  5. I find it rather amusing that having spent years being bankrolled by the unions, Labour are getting shirty that the Tories also have donors…

I would also argue that given recent results / polls and the general disintegration of Labour, it is ridiculous to say the party is karma net negative!

WTF? Do get over yourself, pompous patronising bobo Bollinger Bolshie prat. And ugly as sin to boot. If that ain’t negative karma I don’t know what is.

  7. Thanks for the free publicity on the blogosphere. Actually you have your facts wrong about this - but then that is not surprising.
But then the Labour Party are close to going into receivership I believe. Probably a lack of support.

By the way - poverty and inequalities have increased under Labour. We might all want the same thing - the eradication of poverty, fairer societies etc, but our policies work, your’s just make things worse. Read my blog and visit Ian Duncan Smith’s Social Justice Foundation - follow the evidence for improving the chances of the poor, not tired Labour dogma.
Frank Field is the only one of your MPs that seem to understand the issues around poverty.

  8. You can’t even spell the name of your former leader! Are the tories so desperate they pick idiots as Parliamentary candidates?
