Recess Monkey has been passed an interesting publication from the Unite GPM section.
In an article on poverty, the author writes;
Imagine work at a firm that includes;
29 accused of spouse abuse
7 arrested for fraud
19 accused of writing bad cheques
117 directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 served time for assault
71 unable to get a credit card due to bad debt
4 arrested on drug related charges
8 arrested for shoplifting
21 currently defendants in lawsuits
81 arrested for drink driving in the last year
Of course, Unite purports to be describing the current House of Commons.

It’s a circular that’s been doing the rounds for years. Patently untrue, anyone could have written it.

As has been said above it’s an urban myth - check out snopes.com and you’ll find it. It was first circulated with reference to the US House of Representatives and I thin that particular version included a few who were supposed to be murderers!
