Basher will be hoping that he can breathe life into his lacklustre campaign today by teaming up with the kohl-eyed avenger and Bob Marshall-Andrews on the Frontline of Freedom (Howden, just off the A63.)
As we pointed out before, DD couldn’t even spell his heroine’s name properly - let’s hope he manages to get it right for the inevitably vainglorious press release.
But the choice of venue for today’s debate is somewhat touching.
The Willerby Manor is Hull’s leading hotel for wedding receptions and is usually fully booked for up to six months. (But bringing Bob alone is akin to a full wedding party, so they probably made an exception!)
Whether this ‘coupling’ is one of convenience or based on something a little deeper, only time will tell.
But we’re a tad bit sceptical in thinking it won’t last long past election day!
P.S. Word of advice Shami - the last train from Howden goes at 7.43pm and if DD offers to put you up, you don’t want to be fighting over a futon with Big Bad Bob.
